I had my interview in Crawley office. I have to admit perhaps I had better circumstances than the people who are unhappy about their interviews as the guy I was talking to was very polite but he asked a lot of questions not connected to my identity. Like - Is it your first visit to Crawley? - How di...

Well basically from the very beginning your marriage was a sham marriage to your husband, so in this case he obtained his spouse visa and ILR fraudulently. I am not sure if you can prove that his intentions were dishonest all alone, but maybe it’s worth letting Home Office know about his lies. But o...

I got my approval yesterday!!!! :D
I called the Council today but they said that they hadn't booked me in their system yet therefore I can't have my ceremony booked and I have to call back on Monday to try again. That's a bit off.
Did anyone have the same situation with Council?

Not sure how much checking HO make for ILR as they have an option of obtaining ILR within one day. It shouldn’t be like this (at least I hope so) as these applications should be easier and quicker to deal with as they were pre-checked for residential requirements, absences etc. When I applied the NCS person said that HO tended to process applications within 2-3 months. But I’m just over 2 months ...

I would agree that it seems that HO process applications quicker this autumn, but unfortunately they don't have much structure in their work as they started to process October applications when a lot of people who applied before are still waiting :(

Absolutely agree. On-line checking system for applications would be a good solution. Applicants don't feel that they are kept in the dark and HO call centre won't be snowed down with calls ... Being a good citizen does not mean just close your eyes and forget that the HO service is Very poor. If it ...

I read recently a report made by the independent inspector of UKBA in which he evaluated UKBA work including one of its call centre.
