I'm in your exact situation - except I'm in South Africa with our daughter (who is now almost 3 months old) and my husband is in England! I know it's inconvenient, and costs more than anyone really wants to spend (my first language is English too) but I'm a qualified English teacher and they wouldn'...

Asylum seeker - Successful Spouse visa application

Ok so! I know there are a few of these posts already, but i thought I'd give my story too! I was an asylum seeker in the UK at the beginning of this year, and was declined. I was sent back to my home country of South Africa when I was 6 months pregnant with my daughter, and engaged to a British Citi...

English Language Requirement for the Spouse Visa

So I asked on another post last week sometime! But got no replies :( and I can't find anywhere else where the information is. It seems obvious to me! But I'd just like confirmation. I haven't taken the test for the English Language Requirement, and I don't have a bachelor degree at all, but I do hav...

South African, spouse visa! Any advice welcome

Hi :) So I'm a 20 year old South African citizen, and currently 9 months pregnant with my fiance's child. My fiance is British, and once we're married in South Africa at the end of August, I'll be applying for a spouse visa to the UK! (to enter once I've turned 21, since I know that's a requirement)...
