Re: Tier 1 (General) - ILR Questions

There was a rule previously that you cannot stay outside UK for a continuous period of 90 days. Please can anyone answer my questions, thanks.

Tier 1 (General) - ILR Questions

Hello guys, I am a Tier 1 (G) migrant got entry clearance in 2011 and entered UK within 3 months. I lived in the UK only a week and then visited back home for 84 days. Since then I'm living in the UK apart from a 4 week holiday last year. My 84 days absence in the beginning of first year wasn't an a...

Options for a Tier 1 (G) migrant if ILR refused

I am a Tier 1 General Migrant and my ILR is due next year. I was wondering what options would I have if my application for ILR gets a refusal? I want to prepare for anything and want to know up until the very last possible option I may have. How does the system work? Can we appeal? if yes but if app...

Re: Tier1 General ILR (Selfemployee)

That is very good news, congrats. I thought when its self employment they would just keep the documents and tell you to wait and then 6 months wait. But good to know that PEOs deciding some self employment cases as well without asking for more documents. This certainly means your case was well prepa...

Re: Tier 1 (General) extension applications - PEO Experience

Congrats. this is good centre. I went there in 2013 and got extention. Planning to go Solihull in 2016 for ILR. They used to check docs before getting fee. then you will sit in window in front of caseworker and he will go through your application in front of you. If they raise any questions you have...

Re: Do I qualify for ILR? Please help.

Safest way out here is what your lawyer has suggested. If you become over-stayer even for 7 days, I think you will have to provide some reasonable evidence for example proof of your flight cancellation due to weather etc and I think as an over-stayer you will also loose the right of appeal. Seniors ...

Re: Do I need another extension ?

You are fine mate. Apply within last 28 days of your visa expiry. If you do not get their decision by the day your visa expires, then too, you wont be an over-stayer. Your status will remain the same until the decision comes no matter how long it takes.

with another set of fees. So basically your date of application remained the same but you sent new fee???? This should not be a solution here where application is valid in all aspects for example photos, date of posting, correct fee, correct mode of payment, signatures, all original supporting docu...

I just read above linked post. Your conclusion does not make any sense to me. The immigration consultant should not go with last year's wrong implementations . Actually they should follow the rules and should be confident to fight for you against any wrong implementation. In above linked post, bubin...

Q3 - When does my ILR qualifying period start? For second case ILR clock starts from the day when applicant first entered UK on that qualifying visa. E.g. If someone got Tier 1 visa from out of UK on 1st February 2006 and entered the UK for first time on 20th February 2006, then ILR clock starts fr...

You would probably need an extra extension if you are applying early which could cost you even more than what you are saving now by applying on or before 5th April. Remember now applications not taking several months. Recently someone applied by post and got result in three weeks. Your date of decis...

Just checked online bank account, all cheques have now been presented by UKBA and waiting to clear on 22nd. Thanks God. Now next task is approval of these applications. I hope good.

Read above in detail. Qualifying period is 5years but there are several small periods which they disregard while calculating continuous leave. For example, up to 90 days from entry clearance to first entry in the uk. It is very clearly mentioned that we should apply for ILR within last 28 days (afte...

Quite worrying. New forms were available only from 6th. No new fee structure ever found on old ones.

Fee changes almost every year. People who had similar experience in last few years should come forward and explain how did they deal with it and what were the outcomes.

These were not problems though but were worth to explain especially for a postal application. Finally I decided to go for PEO and the caseworker refused to...
