OCI from India on six months visitor visa

Hi,

My wife is going to India for six months on six month visitor visa. During her stay she wishes to apply for OCI. Can she do that during her six months stay?

She recently got her BC in UK before this she was Indian citizen and was born in India.

Thanks,

Hi, I realise that UKBA (and VFS India) have started to use the "new" DX courier service. Can I just add my opinion that how awful this move is!! If they miss the delivery then they send you a letter in post (WTF). Which means that you have to wait for (poss.) 5 working days to get that le...

Nice one. I cant say I am agree or disagree becoz I havent been to canada but from friends I heard its better in Canada then in UK. I particularly hate the immigration policy in UK where they don't allow (or make it perti. difficult) to immigrate your immediate family! Its discriminatory and unjust....

Re: can i book One way ticket to India with my OCI?

Yes you can.

Out of interest, are you not worried / bothered about paying higher taxes on your income and having to pay higher fees for the kids (that is if you have any or plan to have any) when you settled in India?

If you search in google from India, you may not get results from other countries. So you will need to log on to google thru proxy servers in particular country. For example, if you want to look for job in canada, search for proxy server in canada, connect to it and go on google, you will get all re...

I think you are unnecessarily stressing out about higher education in India (considering fees for NRI and Indian C. are same for 99% of the schools in India). The higher education is worthless. its all about memorizing the books without any practical implementation and tbh you get what you pay for. ...
