Easyguy, Congrats!! Although I must admit by blindly going through the books I thought you had a very low chance, although again as per HMRC and other docs those are valid earnings. What would have clinched in your favor is the Tax Doc & Employer letter. Happy for you :) and also cheers to UKBA ...

Hi,

Looking at your response I would just reapply. Your company status needs to be sorted. Get guidance from your accountant and possible from immigration solicitor

Hi, If I were you I would try to pay any Class 2 or class 4 NI due and reapply. This is apart from NI contribution you pay through ur job. Also certain small business with less £5500 profits can claim for exemption for any NI dues. Apply with form SEE to get exception. Do you meet the requirements w...

Hi,

Absolutely no worries about that one. Alternatively you can include June salary and CW will reject the earnings (worst case scenario).

Cheers

Hi Mate,

Since you are sole trader I am sure you should be alright. The reasoning behind this you and your company are the same. It also means your personal assets can be seized/auctioned and can be used to pay off company's debts if necessary.

As per guidance its not necessary to show proof of ur income when applying for dependents tier1 visa. I further assume there is/was no change in tier1 dependents visa requirements after 15th March 2013.

Hi Saq427, Office holders or directors are considered employees and hence liable for class A NIC only. This also means they are treated as employees. Effectively UKBA asks only necessary proof like dividend vouchers and accountant letter. Again for self employed u also need company accounts since UK...

Hi,

I was under the impression that this only applies to UK Citizens. As far as I understand this is nit benefit because there is a repayment clause.

Bottom line you need to wait until u get ur citizenship.

Hi, Agree with Bubin123. You are different from your company. If your company goes bust, debtors can not attach your personal property and hence the reasoning that a company can declare dividends as and when needed provided it meets all other requirements. I saved up quite a lot of money in my compa...

HRMC is the one concerned about this. I was just outlining the best practice for drawing dividends. IMO u shud be fine.

Note: if u declare dividend and not legal HRMC will treat this director loan and there associated penalty with this.
