Did your partner attend the appointment with you? And did you fill in the form online, or just print one out, fill it in and take it with you on the day?

Congrats! :)

Sorry, in addition to this, I'd be greatful if someone could check the documentation we have, and whether we are missing anything: -Both our passports -Marriage certificate -A year's worth of bank statements for my account (which my wage goes into), our joint account (which has had over £1,000 in c...

PEO appointment for FLR(M)

Hi all, My wife has an appointment booked at our local PEO where she hopes to switch from a Student (Tier 4) visa to FLR(M). We are slightly confused on two points: 1. Does she need to fill in the application (and pay) online, then bring a copy of it with her documents to the appointment or can she ...

Hi whimzee, My partner and I are also getting married on the 23rd Sept, congrats! :) We are planning to apply in person also; our situation is similar to your except she's a student. I just wondered how you booked at appointment before your wedding took place? I didn't think of doing that... did you...

She's currently on a tier 4 student visa, which expires in Jan 2012, but we'll be applying for a FLR(m) sposual visa after our wedding in Sept.

Spouse working for US company?

Apologies if this is in the wrong section of the forum, it's a fairly unique question so I thought I should put it here! My partner and I are getting married soon, and she will (hopefully) be on a spousal FLR(m) visa by November (I am a British citizen). She will be looking for a full-time graduate ...

Okay thanks :) One more concern I have after reading another thread ... does she need to show proof that she's been studying? She's enrolled full-time at an approved university and has been studying continuously, but I guess won't get her degree certificate until maybe November time when the exam bo...

Thanks for your replies. Sorry, I should have mentioned that I'm a British Citizen. After deducting rent and council tax, I still have about £700 a month coming in so should be fine. I know they only ask for proof of finances and a marriage certificate, but is it a good idea to just provide as much...

Student (tier 4) to FLR(M)

Hi all, My partner (a US citizen) is currently in the UK on a student (tier 4) visa. She came in September 2010 and it expires in January 2012. We are planning on getting married in October 2011, and will be applying for the FLR(M) visa straight away. I just wanted to check that we have all the docu...
