What a £!%$@^ hahaha. Good luck and congratulations, at least now you know your FLR(M) is approved! Edit : Having read the letter that came with my documents, I expected a request for ID. Sadly the courier guy didn't seem to remember/care, I had to ask him if he wanted to see it and he said "oh...

I'm also another February applicant. I have a straightforward case having applied for a spouse visa after being on the fiancee visa. Me and my husband would have been married for a year in February and still no visa = no honeymoon :( Best of luck to everyone else still waiting! It's great that there...

My husband and I were discussing this last night - considering that the UKBA requires a current (no more than 3 months) passport photo, perhaps the people who have waited for months and months on end would expect a request for new photos before any decision is made? I'm in the same boat as you guys,...

Hi everyone, I'm one of those January/February black hole applications. It's been more than 6 months since my documents were sent in and 5 months post-biometrics appointment. 2222 - Don't worry you're not alone! Maybe we're assigned to the same donkey caseworker, who knows. My timeline : Date applie...

That's quite alright, happy to help! :) You have to complete and submit a visa application form online, but you must do this at the Australian section, not the UK one. After you're done, you'll be given an option to book an appointment so you can choose a convenient time. It doesn't matter if you're...

I don't think that you can submit your biometrics and subsequently your application in 2 different countries because your visa application in Australia will be processed by a case worker based in Manila. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/countries/australia/applying/?langname=UK%20English If you wan...

It would be safer to get the letter officially translated. I guess her decision to go with an open ticket would depend on the turnaround time of the visa approval in her country and her date of travel. If she submits an application well in advance, there might not be any harm in saving some money an...

Hello, I know someone in a similar situation. What strengthened their application, and hopefully yours is : 1. An open ticket (with a date to return booked) 2. A letter from the university/college/school stating that she is indeed taking a break during term and will resume her studies upon her retur...

Yes, it's exactly the same. I filled in the online form first, but it crashed repeatedly and in the end was so frustrated I submitted it using the paper version.

You (the sponsor) can fill in the form on behalf of the applicant. The website you use will generate a username and password which you and the applicant can both use to log in. Please note that each country has different websites (VFS, for example) so make sure you use the right one! In my country, ...

Tbh I thought that everyone joined a big queue to be assigned to a caseworker. Once "on the desk', a person's application is decided on its own merits and the time it takes for a decision to be reached is dependent on each case. This is pure speculation and I'm evidently wrong since you haven't...

Bad news. Turns out the clerical error of my name on the biometrics booking letter cannot be amended at the post office and the HO Biometric Enrolment Centre. According to the lady I spoke to, If I do show up with the incorrect details, the biometrics taken would be invalid. Basically they have to s...
