I went there on the 20th of September this year to apply for my PSW. My appointment was for 10:15am. They allowed me in at 9:45am. I was out of the building with my acceptance letter by approximately 12:30pm. Saying that, I did notice the PEO at Croydon was relatively empty! A year before when I wen...

As long as you have the available funds in your account then you should have no problem in using your Visa Debit card. I went on the 20th of September to the Croydon PEO for my PSW and paid with a Visa debit card. I did let my bank know in advance that I was going to do a large payment, so the fraud...

Have you started your job already? If not then you should switch to a PSW visa before you start work asap. If this not possible then you ask your employer for a fixed term contract or a temporary contract until you obtain a PSW visa. Remember a condition of your student visa is that you should not p...

If you finish your postgraduate course, obtain your results and or degree certificate before April 2012 then you are eligible to apply otherwise I'm afraid you can't. Tier 1 (PSW) will close for everyone in April 2012. Taking this from my other post: "Looking on the brighter side they will rela...

You can work full time provided the job isn't a permanent one. The UKBA are quite unclear on this but speaking to immigration lawyers the former stands.

I'm afraid you cannot apply for PSW after April 2012. I can understand it is unfair but it is the law and these are things which we don't have control over. Looking on the brighter side they will relax rules for switching into Tier 2 from Tier 4. You could look for employers which have the ability t...

Just to let you guys know that you are not allowed to work on a permanent contract. What my employer did was incorrect and as such have issued me with a temporary contract back dated to my previous start date. This will show I've been a temporary worker and hence not get my PSW rejected. Hope this i...

Hi, You're right. You're not allowed to work if the position is a permanent one. However you are allowed to work full time if the position is a temporary or fixed term one, or if your contract states it's a temporary or fixed term one, provided the job starts AFTER your official course end date. Hop...

Answer to your first question: Yes he can apply as long as he has been awarded a result. If the degree certificate has not been issued then this needs to be stated in the letter that you request from the university. Please see the link below for the details of what the letter should contain, scroll ...

Graduate job on Tier 4 (Student) visa BEFORE PSW

Hi Guys, I've got a quick question. I've been working for my company on a new graduate role since 4th of July 2011. I am current on a student visa and looking to apply for PSW on the 20th of September 2011. The role is a permanent one and I did mention this to my employer that I can't work unless th...
