I'm just trying to find out what the current minimum rate of pay is for my husband's SOC code. Everything we can find is for 2010; there appears to be a 2011 update but the link I've found online doesn't work. Any ideas on what to do? And is it really necessary to list what the minimum rate of pay i...

Yes, I've seen that. Can anyone comment on if they included the information I'm asking about?

Question about employer letter for ILR

Does the letter from your employer for ILR (in our case for a Work Permit holder) really need to include a statement confirming that your rate of pay is at or above the appropriate rate for the job as stated in the codes of practice for Tier 2 sponsers, and listing what that minimum rate is, even if...

Thanks for the account! We have to get ILR in January, and I was going to send hubby alone as I have serious knee problems (and some back problems) that make walking more than a very short distance difficult, so getting there via train won't be easy. (fyi, hubby is a work permit holder and I'm his d...

Well, you are worrying for no reason. The questions in the form that you refer to are to ascertain that the applicant is able to maintain himself and any dependants without recourse to public funds. Whether one is left with 1000 pounds after paying rent or with 300, doesn't matter! High rent or low...

Income and applying for ILR

Hi all, does anyone know where I can find income requirements for a work permit holder applying via Form Set (O)? A little background: We are both Americans applying on Set (O) for a work permit holder and his dependant. We have a healthy income, but as I was filling in ILR forms today I noticed tha...

Re: ILR questions on Form set (O)

It should be alright, you are in line with the regulations. No worry about that. You are within 180 days in total and less than 30 days in a single trip. I think your case is straight forward. No need to worry too much ^___^ Thanks so much! But to clarify, we do have one trip so far this year with ...

ILR questions on Form set (O)

I've just started looking over the paperwork for our ILR experience in January (I'm hoping to get most of this sorted well in advance so there's time to gather anything we lack). My husband has a work permit, and I'm his dependant, so we are doing Form set O. A few questions for anyone that might kn...

Re: ILR - WP 5yr (205 days A/L)

Absence I listed all the absense in another spreadsheet and attached it after the absence details in the form. All my 205 days were from annual leave. None of them over 90 days but quite a few with around 30 days . I did not count the date I leave and the date I arrived UK , i.e. 3 days if I have h...
