I sponsered my brother and mother while I had only 3 months left on my Tire1 visa. So, its perfectly fine. They were granted family visit visa.

You do, indeed, need to score points for your income in the final year to qualify for ILR. If you are on Tire 1 visa for last 5 years and going to apply for ILR, I do not think you need to prove your income again! I have read on this forum at many places. Can someone please comment..!

As your application is on hold, maybe you need to look for information on HMRC website stating that if somebody's salary is below the threashold, they need not to pay NI and take a print out. Also, ask HMRC to write you a letter confirming the same rule and provide that letter to the CW. Its my own ...

Thanks for information. So, it could be a good workaround for the people who did not keep enough balance in their bank account, they should first apply for main applicant and partner (depending on the funds available in the bank) and latter for kids.

If only the applying dependends name to be stated on the form, in that case how does the maintenance funds to be calculated? I have enough funds in bank for whole of the family, but raising the question as it may help somebody else.
