It is unfortunate that your case is taking long time. There is no other alternative other than to wait. They will only answer if the application date is more than 6 months. Hopefully they will take a decision in the next 10 days. TIG.

In order to be safe, i would suggest to go for Passport renewal. especially with homeoffice it will be better to avoid even the smallest mistake.

i had a similar situation. still thought to renew the passport and then went for visa renewal.

Your Bank Statement can be used as proof for the Payment. Not sure if they will give any receipt.

UKBA themselves have asked for the usage of additional form for adding more addresses. It is natural for people to have temporary accommodation. Better to declare openly and have peace.

Is there a limit for postal orders? - I need to get one for £2600 for PEO.
There is no limit on Postal orders. You can buy in multiples of 250 £ and the last Postal order worth 100£.
