Second option is apply for POI card for your child as he/she will not be eligible for OCI until you become british

I think it is not compulsory if you very less absent. many people applied without letter and they got approved and not asked for any.

hi all,
my child born in uk in july this year.
I just got my ILR. so, i can register my child as BC.
Do i have to register her through MN1 form or i can apply directly for her passport?
As my friend told me that he applied for his son's passport directly without register using MN1

i also booked for me + 1 dependant with fees : 2589
I think the £3572 fees is including £100 booking fees for PEO for each applicant.

And if your child born in UK then if you not travelling any soon then you can apply for British citizen as soon as you get ILR.
