I changed my job and moved to a different city two years ago. Should I inform UKBA my job change and my address change? Is it too late to inform them? Thanks...

Did you get this sorted out? FYI - my missus had a hard time getting Barclays to do this as well (with Barclays re-issued statements, not on bank letterhead). But she refused to budge, insisting that its a requirement from the UK government, and if the bank fails to comply, we may not be able to st...

Re: So much delays

It's nothing more than revenue gathering and makes it almost impossible to plan overseas travel given the unacceptable lengthy delays. UKBA doesn't acknowledge that immigrants have genuine work and family obligations as well as leisure as their reasons to travel outside of the UK. For them to be cha...

This is yet another indictment on the poor customer service in the United Kingdom, whereas back in New Zealand (where we are from) any bank would fulfil our requests without delay. What about paying extra for the inperson fee for the t...

It is still free to attend a biometrics appointment at the UKBA with an appointment. Trouble is you have to book and it could take some time (11 days for me after the Biometrics better) and your first choice of location may not be available.

You have to return to your home country to reapply for a different category under the YMS. The UKBA closed Tier 1 (General) at the end of 2010 to applicants outside of the UK. This makes it impossible to apply unless they change the rules before your visa expires (very unlikely under the tory govern...

It's an outrage. Revenue gathering at it's worst. It's a 50% increase in fees and that's an awful lot of money. By attempting cull the entry of skilled workers into the UK from outside the EU, the economy is going to get worse not better. About time the UK got out of the bureaucracy that is the Euro...
