Post-Study Work Visa - Start Date

Hello everyone! I've got the following question: What is the start date of a PSW visa? Is it the date of my graduation or the date the visa was given? Thing is, I am planning to get PSW visa but my passport expires in August 2013. If I apply now and assuming the start date is the issuing date then 2...
