Re: Applying for Visitor Visa for my mother

After I requested for the refund, I applied again for the visitor visa with all the points mentioned by you guys. My mother just got her passport and they have granted the visa but the validity on vignette is for 6 months? I paid for 5 years but not sure why they only issued the visa for 6 months? d...

Re: Applying for Visitor Visa for my mother

You said the application was already submitted I have just applied for a 5 year visitor visa for my mother who will be visiting my brother in the UK I guess with the proposed visit dates to cover six months. If you submit a letter saying that the time will be shorter, I think it will make the scena...

Re: Applying for Visitor Visa for my mother

Also see this thread for why saying that she will be in the UK for six months on a visit visa is a bad idea. She should aim for staying with your brother one month in the UK, two disjointed months at the most. Presumably your brother can take a holiday and return to India with her to spend more tim...

Re: Applying for Visitor Visa for my mother

Has she been previously issued a UK visa and how long ago if yes? Her previous visitor visa was granted back in Feb 2022 but she did not travel to the UK because my dad was ill at the time and we couldn't leave him behind. She got that visa for 6 months. 1. In the application my mother has mentione...

Applying for Visitor Visa for my mother

Hey everyone, need your help with a couple of questions regarding my mother's visitor visa application. I made a post regarding this same topic before but given how that post is now locked, I am starting the conversation again. I have just applied for a 5 year visitor visa for my mother who will be ...

Re: UK spouse visa-worried

I don't know how the Home Office treats arranged marriages in such cases? My brother is providing all the documents for his wife's dependent visa similar to the OP but how can one show evidence of intimacy in case of arranged marriage? HO wouldn't ask for evidence of marital intimacy! Well in that ...

Re: Defined COS issue

what option does he have to stay in the country? Find another job during curtailment period/return back to home country and apply for a visa again, as he did for the current one. I understand that part but what I need to know is where the company faces any repercussions for not providing the job or...

Defined COS issue

Hello everyone, been hearing a lot of issues from some applicants who got defined COS in health care. The employers sponsoring these applicants failed to provide them with the job when they came to the UK. I have heard this is happening a lot now given the deadline is fast approaching. I am just cur...

Yes i did answer that questions. so if answer "Do you have any other reasons for wanting to stay in the UK?" this will not have an impact on the decision? Also do i need to provide P60 or Payslips for last 10 years? or just the docs which been asked? Hey Baljit, you seem to be in the same...

Re: Dependent Visa (Living together for 2 Years)?

They have mentioned everything in the form correctly and yes they met when they got married on 15th January 2024 and were living together since at our mother's place. My brother moved back to the UK on 24th Feb and now she is just about to file this application. In the document checklist however the...

https://i.postimg.cc/y6mx27sG/Dependent-screenshot.jpg I am not sure if you can see the image clearly but this is all the information they have entered in this application. The Home Office asks if the evidence of living together can be provided and they mentioned yes. Not sure how this question can...

Which form are they completing exactly?
PBS, Start-up, Innovator or Global Talent – Partner visa. I thought this was the correct form?

Dependent Visa (Living together for 2 Years)?

Hey Everyone, while filling in the online form for dependent visa, the Home Office ask for evidence of living together for 2 years from the dependent? I do not understand why they are asking for evidence of living together when it clearly states that it was an arranged marriage? Of course my brother...

Family/Spouse Visa after 11th March

Hey everyone, my brother recently got married and his wife will soon be applying for Family Visa to join him in the UK. There is a likelihood that she might apply for the visa after 11th March. My brother got his Health and Care Visa last year in March. Wonder if this new law will affect his situati...

We have no more information than you have seen in the media. This hasn't been laid before parliament and no guidance document has been changed. Thanks for clarifying that alterhase, but the press release from Gov.UK are actually saying this new rule will start from January 2024. Not even sure when ...

Hey everyone, I am a British national currently living in India. My brother, who is an Indian national, is currently in the UK working as a support worker. He immigrated to the UK back in May 2023 under the skilled worker visa for Health and Social care. My brother is getting married in Jan 2024 and...

If child is born outside the UK, the child will be a British citizen by descent and can apply for a British passport. But their children (your grandchildren), if born outside the UK, will not be British citizens automatically. Also be aware that the child's first British passport from India can tak...

British citizen has a kid outside UK

Hey everyone, a bit of a background on what's going on. I attained my citizenship back in Jan 2020 and I travelled to India in April 2021 to meet my parents. I have stayed in India since, as I found out in December 2021 that my dad had liver cancer. I got married in Feb 2022. I applied for my wife's...
