Re: Travel while PR application in progress...

I am sorry. They have a "family member resident permit" which is about to expire but the application for PR is already in progress.

Travel while PR application in progress...

Hello all,

I have a quick question. If a non-eea person has an application for permanent residence in progress but their current visa is expired, would they be allowed back into the UK after travel abroad? They will be travelling and re-entering with their eea spouse.

Thank you

Re: EEA3 and EEA4 - Kindly help

Thank you for your reply. We were married May 27th 2009 but his residence card was not approved until December 2011. My husband is registered as self employed and received a job offer abroad. However he continued paying UK tax and NI contributions for the period he was abroad. Another thought is if ...

EEA3 and EEA4 - Kindly help

Hello, I am putting together a request for PR for both myself (EEA) and my husband (non EEA). 1) if I have letters from employers confirming employment do I also need to include payslips and P60s? I have decided to apply with a letter rather than the new form and I would prefer to keep my file a lig...

Re: EEA3, new form

Thank you for the clarification vinny. I thought going through PR route first would be best rather than applying for naturalisation automatically. In case my naturalisation application was rejected, I would not have spent too much money. However, what is the best route if my husband also want to nat...

Dear all, Could you kindly advise whether the new 127 pages application for EEA3 PR is compulsory or I could simply attach a letter explaining my status along with the evidence required. I have reside here since 1994 and I only going through the process as my husband is a NON-EEA national. Am I corr...

Continuity of residence

Hello, I'm a EEA national and I have been residing in the UK for 20 years since being a child. My 2 children were also born here and through my automatic PR, they are both british nationals. It was never my intention to naturalize as a british citizen (mainly due to the costs involved), however sinc...

Yes indeed. I went through the process with IPS for my son last year & he was granted a british passport. However, the process was long and daunting as IPS claimed that the 5 continuous years needed to be just before my son's birth (in my case 2005-2010) and that I needed to earn a certain amoun...

I assumed that there was a minimum amount needed to be earned in order to apply as a worker. Isn't that the case? You can imagine that as a p/t worker while at university I wasn't earning so much.

Thank you for the prompt reply Jambo. Until about 2 months ago, I was a stay at home mum. I was made redundant from my previous position in late 2009 and decided to start a family with my husband. I am now self employed. In my previous job, I was lucky to only work half the year hence why I do not t...

EEA3 and CSI

Hi all, I read the many post on EEA3 and hoped to find an answer to my question, however I wasn't so lucky. Could someone kindly help with my query? I am a french citizen and have been residing in this country for 18 years since 1994. I would like to make an application for EEA3 for the period of 20...

Hi all, My son's application was granted. It goes to show that you have to be persistent and that IPS are sometimes wrong in the information they provide. I had to call UKBA nationality department in order to get confirmation for the 5 years, after that IPS admitted they were wrong. Thanks very much...

That's really good to hear...I hope the process won't be as stressful as and much faster than his eea2 application. What is the success rate on PR for non EEAs?

Actually, after a long battle of 2.5 years with the UKBA, he was just granted his resident permit as the family member of an EEA. We have been married for 2.5 years but have been together much longer. Will he have to wait another 5 years before applying for PR? Or is it just another 2.5 years? Thank...

Do I need to apply for Permanent Residence?

Hi all, I am French and I have resided in the UK for over 17 years. I am married to a non-eea. Recently our son was granted a British passport as he was born here and I was able to demonstrate that I had exercised treaty rights for at least 5 continuous years. My question is, do I still need to appl...

Thanks for your reply Jambo. In late 2010, I was awarded a claim for income support on the basis that I had demonstrated continuous treaty rights for at least 5 years in accordance with the EEA immigration regulations 2000 & 2006. The decision was that: "On the evidence provided, I have dec...

Phone IPS and talk to them. Their customer service is quite good. The fastest way would be to provide P60's for the years 2004-2005 so you will have 5 full years of P60's without benefits. Thanks for your reply Jambo, IPS are arguing that the 5 years should be prior to my baby's birth, in my case 2...

Thank you for your reply vinny but how do I put this into words to the IPS? They still have all my supporting documents, so is it a case of simply writing a letter to them and do I need to forward further supporting documents? I had already included proof that I started school in this country from 1...

Child born in UK to EEA national, resident for over 17 years

Hi all, I have been living in the UK for 17 years since 1994, I went to school, college, university and worked here. My baby was born in 2010 and for whom I recently made an application for British passport. I don't have a permanent residence card as I know permanent residence is automatically acqui...
