Re: Immigration Health Surcharge

Hi all, I am also extremely disheartened by this development. The NI contribution plus this surcharge is beyond comprehension. What next, they will start charging for council tax and road tax in advance based on assumption we could be renting whole properties or driving. I understand applying it on ...

Change of employment

Hey Guys, I am thinking of changing my job meaning I am going to be entering the challenging process of change of employment as I am on Tier 2 general. I have following question on my mind right now - Q1 : Would the tenure for my new Tier 2 be for 2 years or it could be 3 years? I understand tier 2 ...

What a relief

Miros my man what a relief phew! Surprised we missed it earlier. For sure UKBA's writing is so contradictory in documents. I think they have created so many permutation and combinations that they have begun to confuse themselves or they intentionally want to confuse us so we make mistakes.

Same situation

H Miro, I am in the same boat. My visa extension is due in Jan-2015. The tier 2 guidance has confused in the sense extension is not mentioned in the RLMT exemption list, however, the attributes segment says you can claim 30 points if you are extending. Will really help if someone can clarify it. Reg...

Tier 2 extension and then ILR

Hey Guys, Great to see some good solutions and ideas being exchanged on the forum. Always have been a great fan of this place. My query is more pro-active in the sense I have my extension due in Jan-2015 and hopefully ILR in Jan-2017. As a background, 1) I originally switched from PSW to Tier 2 gene...

Unbelievable

Hi guys,

glad to inform you that I received my passport and bio metric today. Was very surprised that the passport left UKBA on 20th of March and was with the lawyer on the 21st and the bio metric was received a day later.

Asad

Hi Arsenal, Going back on my question about when to Assign. I just got an update from solicitor who has assigned the CoS today which is the 18th of January. However, I complete six months on 19th of January. He says that because the start date on the CoS will be 27th of January, hence it should be f...

slight error

Hi Arsenal, Thank you so much for the reply. I just wish to point out that I made a slight error in my message..my visa runs out on 27/01/2012 and not 27/12/2012. Yes I work 37.5 but don't really know how to Pro-rata it. My salary is £26+. Total number of working hours ( annual) - 37.5 x 52 = 1950 S...

The reason I have doubts is because I would not have completed 6 months employment on the 28th of October. And I spoke to UKBA help line today and he advised that the unrestricted CoS becomes applicable once the employee qualifies for it . Hence I wish to avoid the situation where the UKBA says that...

Timescale for assigning

Hi ,

Thanks for your reply. Does it take too long to assign CoS. If not then I guess we are OK to schedule the assigning for 23rd January. That way we have all the clauses covered.

Asad

Hi All, I am currently on PSW and working with my current employer since 20th July ,2011. My PSW expires on the 27th of January and I am hoping to apply between 21st of January and 27th of January as that is when I qualify the 6 months clause. My employer had run out of allocation for which they req...
