also if anyone know. if the non eu wife of an irish citizen is applying for a french/other EU visa to travel with him is there alot of documentation to be given like hotel reservation, fights, insurance etc etc??? ive just been looking at the french embassy and they are asking for alot of stuff. htt...

My wife is from Philippines she was approved with Visa type C, when we specifically apply for Long stay, join spouse Visa type D. We contacted the Irish embassy, and they told us that there is no problem and just the immigration officer at the airport will make a "mark" "stamp" ...

I naturalised on 27th of August. My child turned 16 was given stamp 3 and informed to apply to the minister of justice for stamp 4. Can I apply for his minor naturalisation with his stamp3. Best to give 2 forms of photographic I'd. Passport and something else with photo on it. Any other ID with photo will do aswell. Post the original out.

form,
fees paid at post office,
nat cert,
attested copy of drivers license,
original passport,
4 photos (2 signed and stamped by garda),
original marriage certs (urdu nikka nama and NADRA marriage cert both original)
original bank statement,
original UPC landline bill.

to be very honest i was surprised!
i applied on the 27th of august and had it in hand on the 2nd.
4 working days.
i used passport express thru the post office.
i guess they werent that busy!

most important of all.
the letter to permission to remain.
the letter granting and approving stamp 4, passport, photos, form and fees draft/postal order

generally thats the only document they will ask for (stamp 4 letter). but take everything else aswell as mentioned above.

Applied for passport on the 27th around 3pm
4 working days later had new passport with me

got to say they were very efficient. :D
make sure to provide all documents and it seems to be very quick!

thats means citizenship through naturalization. thats not what i am pointing to. i mean does the child not automatically be entitled to irish citizenship as the father/mother would be irish at the time of his birth, no matter where he/she is born. or does the child have to be born in ireland to irish.
