What affect does an MP have on a visa case? If we were to contact them and they contact the UKBA will it be positive? Does the UKBA respond to MPs and are they concerned for any reason if an MP is involved? Thanks

If your MP gets involved with your visa case does this make any positives about your case? Like if they are showing there support or contacting the UKBA on your behalf will it help your application? Will the UKBA be afraid that your local MP has contacted them? Or will it not even make a difference....
