Hey Mamag,
I'm so happy for you! I hope you have a great weekend and celebrate a bit! Go for a meal, do something nice!
It's a great feeling, isn't it?

Are you going to apply for the citizenship next year?
I just had my Life in the UK test and I passed it! All the best to you and your family!

It's funny how Brazilian consulate is acting. In Brazil the residence permits are issued in a card format (and not a vignette in the passport).
And now they don't want to accept the same type of document that they issue themselves! Ridiculous!

Mamag, I called them when my application was 5 months old and I was told that it was awaiting for consideration. This annoyed me so much! But as we have seen other people here, I am sure you will receive yours in about 4 weeks time. I got mine yesterday and I am extremely happy and relieved! Now I'm...

Hi All, Just writing to advise on the timeframe of my application: Sent application to the Home Office on the 15th of March and today (10th of September) I have received all my documents back with my Permanent Residence Card. So it took a bit short of 6 months. The residence card is in one A4 sheet ...

I applied for EEA4 on the 15th of March, completing 4 months now. On the 4th of July I requested my passport back by email and it seems my request was ignored. I called them 3 days ago and they didn't have any details of my request on their system, so they put a new request. And 3 days later I recei...

I don't know how it works either...
Hopefully the Case ID is your place in the queue (besides it being your own reference number anyway).
I would like to think that Case ID is the number in the queue...

Out of curiosity - does your COA have the Case ID and Reference number?

I'm more interested to know if there's a case id.

Cheers.

Hi jajanana,
Thanks for the post and support! That's nice of you!
I wish my case was passed to the caseworker, but I guess it's too early yet. Maybe the person just processed, put in the pile again, and after a week did the same work all again! :-)

I applied for EEA4 on the 15th of March. I got a COA dated as 9 April 2010. And today I got another COA, dated as 16 April 2010. Both COA have same reference number and same case ID number. The only difference is how they spelt my name. I have "de" as part of my name. First time they didn'...

Hmm, I am not sure, but having a reference and casa number doesn't mean that the case has been assigned to a caseworker. Maybe it's just got logged in the system for the queue and that's it. Isn't the case that everyone who receives the COA receive the case no and ref no? I applied on 15th of March ...

Maybe he meant that for his wife being foreigner "from the so called 1st world" he would be better than everyone else. Which doesn't make much sense. There's no VIP list in the process, even proved that a so called "Canadian with a job" waited more than a year for the residence c...

You don't need to file for a divorce in Brazil. As both are living in the UK, you can get a divorce from here and later bring the paperwork to the Brazilian consulate to get it legalized.
