Aussie girl, Could you please send me a copy of the letter models you used? I am very interested in them as you got a positive feedback and I am sure you will have your passport back within days, since they already requested further docs and allocated the case to the caseworker. My email is glaucool...

If the solicitors are so good, why they don't try to enforce the law and make Home Office play by the 6 month rules?

Hey Papito, did your family apply for British Citizenship at this stage? Or was it only you?

Did you wait one year after the stamp date (permanent visa for you all)?

Even that I am about to apply for EEA4 in one year from now, I prefer not to sign this petition because I think this petition should be for all European applications and not specially for EEA4 (even that the other are a bit mentioned, but the approach doesn't seem to be alright).

If you are coming back without a visa, just please make sure you have printed the Home Office page regarding the E...

I just said about the airlines because I am a non-visa national. And sometimes when coming back from my country the airlines ask to see the visa as I have only the leg going to the UK. The airlines are instructed nowadays to not let people from outside EU to board as a tourist with one way ticket! M...

So after 5 years to PR, you may still have to wait another 6-8 years for citizenship. So do you mean that someone under EEA rules, will have to live 5 years in the UK and then will get permanent residence, and then wait more 6-8 years to get citizenship? So it gives a total of 11 to 13 years for a ...

Aboudi,

Non-EU family members get Permanent Residence status after 5 years too, however the card itself is renewable automatically every 10 years, so they place a 10 year endorsement, but it's still a permanent residence status.

So what happens to dependent of EU citizens? They get Permanent Residence in 5 years. So that means that in the EU law they have advantage and get to the end of the journey faster? I am wondering if the new citizenship law will say that people can apply for citizenship at any time after getting Perm...

I think that consulates are funded more for the appaling visa fees than for fees for people who lost passports abroad.
Let's say any embassy/consulate around the world - how many people go there to apply for a visa in a day and how many go telling they lost the passport?

Hi Dean,
They do not check your credit history at all. You don't need to have money saved in order to apply. The most important would be to show that you have regular income.

Wrong,
EEA2 is for when the applicant is already in the UK.

Normally the form is VAF1 to ask a Family Permit (VAF2 is for settlement when the spouse is british citizen).

Send it now, as it will make it easier to come to the UK after the trip to Brazil. When posting together, ...
