Singh route - lack of docs

Hi there, Does anyone know if a lack of supporting documents from our time in Spain is likely to derail a EEA4 PRC application? My non-EU wife and I (British citizen) arrived in the UK in early September 2011 and I've been employed ever since, having been made redundant after three years in Spain ba...

On which email you send your threatening email. I sent the same email to: ukbacustomercomplaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and EuropeanOperational@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk I got an automatic response from both, then the following response from the latter: Thank you for your email regarding your wife’s app...

And as if by magic .... the RC and all our documents arrived today, with the RC dated 11 August. One can't help but feel that they've been sat in a corner for the past few months until the threat of legal action gave them no other option but to deliver them. Anyway, here's our timeline: EEA2 sent 06...

Well, well, well.... Less than 48 hours after being told no decision had yet been reached on my wife's February 4 application and me sending the Home Office an email threatening legal action in the small claims court, the RC arrived today. The RC is simply an endorsement in her passport rather than ...

Taking the UKBA to the Small Claims Court

Well, it's now been more than six months since we lodged my wife's EEA2 Residence Card application and five months since we received her COA. After spending 30 minutes on the phone to the Home Office today and then learning a decision has still not been reached, I've lodged an official complaint and...

Quick Questions About EEA2 RC Translated Documents

Hi all, I'd be grateful if anyone could quickly answer the following questions about documents that prove we were living and working in Spain before arriving in the UK (and which saw my non-EU wife issued with a FP in Madrid that has now run out). I'm British and so was/am excecising my treaty right...

I had exactly this situation before Xmas. They had our passports on Dec 19 and I made it quite clear I needed mine back by January 16 for a business trip to Brazil. At least 120 calls later, I gave up and postponed the trip. My passport arrived Jan 20, having apparently been processed on January 17...

EEA 2 Fresh Application

Well, I had hoped to be writing on this forum today about the processing time for my non-EU wife's residence card application after we (I'm British) arrived on an EEA FP from Spain last October. As it turns out, her request was rejected because we failed to provide proof of my employment in Spain an...

I would be interested in you and wife's experiences entering Spain from Peru. What did you do, apply for Schengen, with what? Did you apply for RC in Spain? Spain does not require EU nationals to be exercising treaty rights as far as I can see. Yes, we applied for a Schengen visa but the path was l...

Many thanks for the replies - especially as they feature the answer I hoped - though I may not be saying that when the UKBA Liverpool office holds on to our passports for eternity next year. Daddy, we lived in Barcelona for two years having married in Peru in early 2009. Once we decided we wer...

Simple "Yes" or "No" please

Hello everyone, I'd be grateful if someone could answer the following question as despite a very thorough search of the UKBA website I can't find a definititive answer. FYI, I am British citizen with a non-EU wife (Peru) and we were living and working in Spain until earlier this year when we relocat...
