My new visa was issued on 2nd October and is valid until 14th December 2016, which is 14 days after the "end date" mentioned on my CoS (30th November 2016). So its definitely more than 3 years! Thanks a lot!! That what I wanted to know! So they issue the visa based on Start Date! Thanks a...

VirtualWaver- My boss put in 1st December 2013 as the start date, but you can choose any date before your PSW expires. We just chose a safe date which is a bit before my PSW expires and a bit after I would get my Tier 2. Thanks mate! Did UKBA grant you 3 years' visa based on Start Date (that is unt...

gasl8- I am switching from PSW to Tier 2, not applying for extension. Thanks guys, my boss went ahead and applied for the CoS anyway and our doubt was cleared when we saw it. Hey mate could you please tell me what he wrote there? I am in the same situation, don't know what to write in Start Date. C...

Working hours

Hi there, In Codes of Practice list it says that New Entrant rate is based on specific hours per month (the one I need is 40 hours per month). My question is: do we HAVE TO work 40 hours per week to qualify for that? I mean it says 25500 for 40 hours per months, but I work only 37,5 but earn 25000. ...

Thanks a lot for your asnwer!! It is very useful!! Do you know the UKBA phone number I can call and ask? Do I need to provide them sponsorship ID or just call and ask? So as I understood I am not required to work exactly 39 or 40 hours - as long as I am working full time and my salary converted to 3...

Thanks a lot mate! That was useful! One more question: do they grant you visa based on Start Date or they just grant you from the day they decide? I mean let's say your employer putted: Starting Date: 21 February 2013 End Date: 21 February 2016 And let's say you applied on October 2013 and they gran...

Thanks a lot mate for your advise! I am really sorry for you - bastards! They are always looking for something to refuse to honest people! I hope it will sort out for you - just hire a good lawyer and sue them! What Start Date your company wrote for you? Really struggling with this one. I also have ...

Employment Start Date - pick a date in the future, usually within 3 months from the day the CoS is assigned. Thanks a lot! That was very useful! One more questions: in the Start Date description it says: if the migrant is already working for you and you are assigning the CoS so that they can apply ...

Thanks mate. Nope, I am not a manager - this one says "manager". It's so confusing, I am sure they are doing this to have a good reason to decline any application!

What about 2136 for your case?

Any more ideas guys?

the new entrant min. salary for a 39 hour week under SOC code 2135 is actually £24,900, not £24,000. For a 37.5 hour week the minimum would be 37.5/39.0 x £24,900 = £23, 943. Your £25k salary is well above the threshold. There is no problem with working a 37.5 hour week. Yeah you're right - I misty...

A questions regarding Tier 2 General working hours

Hi guys, I am currently working 37.5 hours per week and receive 25,000 per annum. My SOC occupation is 2135 and the new entrants salary for that position is 24,000 per annum (I am holding Tier 1 Post-Study Visa). But this pay is for 39 hours per week. My questions is: is it ok that I am working only...

What is an Umbrella Company?

Hi guys, I currently hold a Tier 1 PSW visa which expires on March, 2014. I am looking for a job in a Tier 2 registered company with an aim to work and stay further in the UK. And like most of them I've read all the policy guidance, appendixes, immigration rules - you name it. But like most of them, even after reading all that materials I still have some fea...
