Re: Adequate maintenance: Calculating after April 2014

Hi Amber, I am planning to apply for my wife's SET M soon, my wife was granted her leave as PBS dependant in 2011 November and she entered the UK in 2012 January 21st, even since she has been my dependant, she was again granted FLR M in 2013 December when I was granted ILR on long stay 10 years rout...

Re: FLR(M) application for my wife

I only have four months bank statements and salary slips, as I I am applying as someone applied before April 2012 as PBS dependant, do I still have to fulfil new financial requirements?

My wife falls under old rules as she came to this country as my dependant on 21st January 2012.

Re: SET(M) application for my wife

I think your wife shouldn't have to ask. There was only one form FLR(M). Ideally, caseworkers are supposed to know the rules and follow their instructions . It was the caseworker who made the mistake. Hi Vinny, I am applying for my wife on SET m for ILR, when it's come to financial requirements How...

Re: ILR for wife refused.

Hi Vinny, On regard to flr m financial requirement, my wife is paid £19000 gross salary that includes her maternity pay as well. We applied her maternity pay late, therefore it is not for last 12 months, by the time we apply she will have 5 months maternity pay paid. She gets paid full salary and co...

Re: SET(M) application for my wife

Hi Vinny, Thanks for that advise, I will prepare for set m and also in the same time, worst come worst if they refused, with my wife salary alone can she apply under category A. And £18600 is it only taking into consideration of one person's salary or both husband and wife salary? As we are planning...

Re: SET(M) application for my wife

Hi Vinny,

I saw a solicitor on regard to she applying for set(m) and he says that there is only 50% chance as I made the initial mistake of applying without asking for transitional arrangement. I am afraid of losing £1500 and then apply again with flr m.

Re: SET(M) application for my wife

It appears to be a general response. Hi Vinny, I spoke to home office, and the adviser clearly said that she will have to wait for 5 years before applying for her indefinite. He was saying even though she came to the UK before the rules changed, she switched to spouse visa in 2013 and she will come...

Re: SET(M) application for my wife

Hi guys, I have not heard anything from home office yet... I am not sure whether they will respond to my email. In worst come worst scenario, we may have to apply through new system (5 years long wait). I just want to clarify this, maybe this is already discussed in many places in this website befo...

Re: Claiming Benefit while my wife is still on FLR (M)

Hi Amber, I may have to apply for my wife's FLR(M) in June 2016, she has been given 30 months on FLR(M) in dec 2013. And I believe that this was a mistake on UKBA side (As she was a work permit dependent prior to swithcing to FLR(M), I got my ILR via 10 years route). I am trying to contact them and ...

Re: SET(M) application for my wife

Hi Vinny, I was reading paragraph 285, it says that initially 2 Years should be granted providing Secretary of State satisfied that each of the requirements of paragraph 284 is met. And in paragraph 284.1 (c) leave was not as a spouse of relevant point based system migrant. I see this wording in man...

Re: SET(M) application for my wife

I have checked the letter we received with my wife's visa, it clearly says that she needs to apply further 30 months extension before she qualifies for ILR. I run a small business and my wife get paid around £900.00 and I pay myself a salary of another £900.00, can I show our combined salary to meet...
