It will help others respond appropriately if you share the immigration category you applying under and your immigration history in the UK (if any). I am a Tier 4 student currently applying for Tier 1 post-study work status, as my course ended in Sept 2011. I reside in the UK at this time, although ...

read policy guidance. if ANY piece of document you submit does not conform to what's expected , as mentioned in policy guidance, then yea you wont score points. its not too hard to read the bit in policy guidance where it states whats required to prove maintenance requirements! That is not electronic statement. Electronic statement is the one which you print off yourself, or your bank branch does it in the branch. If you order it online, it is your proper statement and you don't need to stamp it by your bank or get a confirmation letter. Best of luck. My bank issued a sta...

Maintenance Fund Proofs

Hello, My bank has provided a letter detailing everything that needs to be provided in writing for maintenance funds. The one thing they refused to do (for security purposes) was to declare that I had maintained 800 GBP for the 90 consecutive days. In addition as proof, they provided bank statements...

My hope is to go home on holiday mid-Dec, and return mid-Jan to UK. My visa expires end of Jan. It would be best timewise if I'm able to courier my application while I'm on holiday.

Thanks for the quick response

Re: Appointments for the premium (same day) services

I don't understand: How come all slots can be full for almost 2 months even though it is a premium service which costs £300 extra. I am suspicious that all slots were provided to these consultancy companies which charges an additional £400. Hi nartallo, I am in a similar situation--I called yesterd...

You may - if there are exit controls at the port you are leaving for. You may not - if there are no exit controls at the port you are leaving from. But you definitely need a BRP to travel back to UK. Sushdmehta, how do you find if the port has exit controls, and how stringent they are? Cheers. I wa...

Re: Same-day Visa Application (In-person)

All you need to know is explained in the document titled "Biometric residence permits - application process". I do it in person. They send it to me within 10 days. Voilà, it's over. So that's it, now I'm reading it correctly? If so, cheers. (I've read it before, but it conflicts with what...

Same-day Visa Application (In-person)

Hi everyone, My visa is set to expire end of Jan 2012, and I can't begin my app until after 23 Nov. I decided it's best to do same-day service because I'm also going home (outside the UK) for Dec holidays. I know I'll receive my visa extension that same day, but I read that while they take your biom...
