the fact that you are currently unemployed may show lack of evidence that you will return to your country after the expiry of the visit visa and you may overstay your visa in Ireland. That can go against you in issuing you the visa. Alright. The plan was to visit my relatives in Ireland and then he...

Thanks for that. Yeah, I guess that'd be my safest bet. Apart from that, I do have a couple of questions regarding the visa application though: 1. I couldn't find the details of how much funds are required on the website. My family member in Ireland would be showing their funds to support me for the...

Irish visiting visa from UK- Which postal service?

Hello everyone, So I'm applying for a visiting visa to Ireland from the UK (Yes, I need one) and was wondering which postal service it'd be arriving by? I'll be shifting from my current flat by the end of this month, and I can redirect mails to a new address using the post office redirection service...

Hi everyone, This is in behalf of a good friend of mine. He applied for his visa extension around the end of Jan (As his visa expired on 31st Jan,12 and he still had a bit of his course left). Alright. Let me elaborate on what happened. He fell for a scam around early December. Was basically a job posting which he applied for. And the job involved some random person putting in cash to his account and he then transferring it to a 3rd person via Western union. He carried out one assignment ...

you submit a new statement from 30 dec to xyz date from the same bank I'm sorry but I didn't quite get that bit. His savings account was closed completely off the bank. His current account remains though- but I don't suppose it has the minimum balance of £800 in it. Moreover, the bank could confirm...

Messed up maintenance- URGENT help. Reply ASAP.

I'm starting this post on behalf of a friend who's applying for psw. So here's what happened: He had kept funds starting from 5th of October. However, on the 30th of December, the account was closed by the bank. (He had apparently fallen for some sort of scam and the money they transferred was fake)...

The do not officially close but people do go on holidays, so tell your friemd to get hios facts straight and stop scaring you Hah! Thanks, ...

Does the UKBA close for Christmas?

I'd applied for my PSW extension on the 14th of November. Received the Biometrics letter on the 1st of December, and submitted the biometrics via Post Office on the 2nd. 1. I've had a friend tell me that the UKBA shuts down for Christmas from the 15th of December. Can anyone please confirm this? 2. ...

My question was, do I need to give the letter in which I was first notified as well ? One more query though (And I swear this is the las...

Postal order - A/C payee only?

Hello everyone, I'm applying for my Tier 4 PSW Visa and just got my postal orders from the post office today. 3 of them- 2x250, 1x94. All three POs are crossed with 2 parallel lines across them. Now, the policy guidance states PO crossed A/C payee only. My question is: Do I have to 'write' "A/C...
