List of supporting docs

Hi all. Our appointment is happening on the 18th. Ive put together a list of all our final supporting documents that I would really appreciate some feedback on. Just as a background, my wife and I are applying from Ecuador together. I'm the sponsor and employed in Ecuador as an Ecuadorian due to my ...

Translating documents

Hi all. My wife has applied for the spouse visa from Ecuador and we are submitting some financial documents in Spanish with official translations. When translating bank statements do we have to get every page and every transaction line translated? In my case we are submitting an Ecuadorian bank book...

Re: Pay slip question

Shouldn't be more than 28 days of biometrics which I think is the day you'll submit too. Your financial documents, most especially last pay slip, bank statements and employer's letter shouldn't be older than 28 days. I actually thought you've submitted? It important you write an additional note to ...

Re: Pay slip question

Of course, check it well, you'll see people that combined job with savings, even those that used only savings. As long as it's clearly stated, you you'll be fine, you just gonna stress yourself out for weeks, just be positive Ok. Thanks. One more slightly related question....I'm confused about the 28 da...

Re: Pay slip question

Did you explain this with additional information? With your savings I think you should be fine, which means you're using cat A + D. Just be positive, I know you've put a lot in to then worry about this,it's going alright Ok. Thanks for the positive vibes! It's what I need right now. I've been studyi...

Re: Pay slip question

I meant to add to my post above that the annoying thing is that my salary comes out at over 22,000 GBP with all my fringe benefits but they don't all appear on my payslip - the only place they appear is on my Ecuadorian equivalent of a P60. This is apparently the norm for Ecuadorian institutions. An...

Re: Pay slip question

As a second back up, I also have 25,000 savings (held in my bank account for the last 6 months) to meet the criteria on CAT A or B plus D. So an option could be to include all my savings evidence, try the salary route first and then have the savings as a back up? I'm worried that this would then sta...

Pay slip question

Hi all My wife is applying for the spouse visa from Ecuador. I am the sponsor and I work in Ecuador. My monthly salary comes out at $2401 US per month (this is exactly the same on every pay slip) which depending on conversion rates on a particular day either puts me above or below the 18,600GBP thre...

Job offer letter

Hi all We are applying for the visa outside of the UK and I have a job offer letter for a job starting within 8 weeks of our proposed return to the UK (I am the sponsor to my wife). I see this job as more of a back up option in case something else doesn't come along before we arrive or soon after we...

I have payslips for every month I've been paid. Sometimes on time, sometimes not on time. And when I apply at the end of Jan I will have a) all my payslips up to date and b) all by salaries up to date

Re: Delayed salary and payslips

May be their explanations might help and the ECO might be considerate. You can try and explain the whole thing as well. I don't think I've come across something like this before. Hope the moderators will share a similar experience. Yes I realise this is an odd one. My work are very supportive with ...

Delayed salary and payslips

My wife and I are applying for the settlement visa from Ecuador at the end of January. I´m the sponsor working in Ecuador and we plan to apply under Cat A combined with D (savings) since I fall short of the salary threshold. Our savings, held in our accounts for over 6 months, combined with my salar...

Re: Cat A or B from outside UK with salary + savings?

[/quote] I just thought you might want to avoid 5.4.1 5.4. Category B: Less than 6 months with current employer or variable income – overseas sponsor returning to the UK 5.4.1. Where the applicant’s partner is returning with the applicant to the UK to work, they do not have to be in employment at th...

Re: Cat A or B from outside UK with salary + savings?

Great, thanks. Just to be clear in my mind, why can we not apply under CAT A if my monthly salary is the same every month? I thought CAT B was for people who had fluctuating monthly salaries. Is CAT A (6 months payslips) + D not an option? Thanks again.

Re: Cat A or B from outside UK with salary + savings?

Many thanks for your reply. So does that mean 12 payslips (over the last 12 months) and also 12 months of bank statements that show the savings? The issue I have is that my savings have only been at the appropriate level for 6 months, not 12.

Cat A or B from outside UK with salary + savings?

Hi My Ecuadorian wife is about to apply for spouse settlement visa from in Ecuador where we are both currently living. I, the sponsor, have had the same job in Ecuador for over 12 months. My monthly salary comes out to £1400 which is £16,600 per year so we are short of using my salary alone to meet ...

How to submit photo evidence?

Hi all. For our spouse visa application, I'm putting together a selection of photos from our 8 years of marriage. Do the photos have to be printed (as prints) with details/captions on the back or is it OK to put the images on a Word document, write the captions underneath and then print in colour? T...

Thanks for the reply. There is only my mum living there in a 4 bedroomed house which has 3 other rooms apart from bathrooms (living room, washing room and Spam). This is also the house I was born in and have gone back to whenever me and my wife have visited the UK and we always stay in "my"...
