I am trying to determine what supporting documents I need to provide along with my application. I haven't seen this info in the FAQs or any of the sticky threads. But if I have ...

Absences question

Hi, I have a PEO appointment on Monday 13th January 2014. My 5 year residence period was on Tier1 (General). I have never been out of the country for more than 180 days in the last 5 consecutive 5 year periods. I come no way close to it. My travel is about 40 days a year. From February 2009 to ...

Ask HR to stamp and sign all payslip printouts. Just for additional security, also ask HR to provide you with a statement of earnings for the same 12 month period on a company headed paper with a signature from HR. This will show gross and net salary payments and if possible the date on which the ...

What exactly do you want to know? Technically, the employer doesn't have to pay for your Tier 1 extension. I am of course assuming that you paid for it on your own for the initial application. If your employer paid for the initial application, they should perhaps be willing to pay for an extension ...

I am sure that HR will be aware that you are working for them on Tier1 General visa. And they should obviously be aware that it will be expiring soon. You may want to show them the relevant text from the UKBA Tier 1 guidance. Also, if they only provide online payslips, other employees may face ...

It is best to get the printouts of online payslips signed and stamped by HR. In addition, I also submited a statement of earnings provided by my employer just in case.

Consider yourself lucky! You just got an extra month to play with if you are falling short of 5 years if and when you apply for settlement.

I applied for a German schengen visa in the first 3 months of arrival in the UK on Tier1. as long as you have a decent enough validity remaining on your Tier1 visa, you should be OK. Some Schengen countries (like Spain) sometimes ask for at least 6 month stay in the UK but they never ask for me when ...

Schengen visa processing times

Hi All, I live in the UK and travel to Schengen countries regularly for work purposes. Most of my travel is to Belgium & France. I usually apply for a Schengen visa from Belgium and get a multiple entry visa valid for 6 months. I am in a tight spot this time around though. I have to travel to France ...

If I get this right, only the gross salary mentioned on your payslips matters for points calculation. And your bank account shows net salary payments. as ong as they don't greatly differ, you should be fine I think.

Try some of the other locations in the UK. When I checked on Friday. There were appointments available for 3rd January in Liverpool. It is probably going to be easier/cheaper to travel to Liverpool rather than Belfast. Out of curiosity, may I ask when you posted your application? I am waiting for ...

Things to keep track of for ILR applications

Hi, I just applied for Tier 1 General renewal and so am at least a couple of years away from applying for ILR. But looking through some of the postings here, I realise that I need to keep track of certain things such as my absences from the UK for the last 5 years before applying and also all the ...

Re: Booking an PEO Appointment

Bokking a PEO appointment seems to be the holy grail of Tier 1 extensions at the moment. Someone told me new appointments become available between 16:15 and 16:45 every day. I tried this with no luck. I tried all other combinations including 5am, immediately after midnight, before 9 am and nothing ...
