Honestly these guys are just taking a piss...Its so not just right and the funny thing is there is nothing anyone can do...just at their mercy...

oh dear...lets all hope for the best. I have asked for the return of my original documents and at least I can go on with life...I have decided not to let it bother me anymore. Its just not right that people should be treated this way...Over 6months for checks to be carried out even after paying GBP9...

Seems others from August, July April etc are beginning to receive letters informing them that there application has been idnetified to take more than 6months due to the new rules whihc came into effect in december 2014...really strange why people should be judged on rules which came into force after...

Guys hese are all assumptions but one thing I have close to my heart is that and akhurshid rightly mentioned is that the HO seem to have a system of intiial checks and if your case is flaggged eve for the slightest issue it gets heaped in a pack for further checks while others are treated with ease....

I read somewhere that they keep the BRP card once they issue approval...I may have misunderstood the s...

Been checking this thread to see if there will be a surprise package over the xmas to anyone still waiting on approval but unfortunately none..I guess santa couldnt make it to our houses...hmm...

I feel you rajo1...like I always say we are at there mercy and to them they are doing us a favour and so are not indebted to us. I guess when they receive the applications...they sieve them accoridng to those with past or spent convictions (dont get me wrong there are those with 3rd party checks - spent convictions etc who have received approvals in september already) Those requiring 3r...

the thing is they have the power to do what they feel at anytime and do not owe anyone any explanation..thats the way I see it..we are just at their mercy bro.

still another week coming to an end with no approval....well winter is here now to cool us down from the heat imposed on us by the HO ...brace

I feel you bro...its same with me as well. the more I try to forget the situation the more I worry about it. But its a matter of time...for them to issue the approval letters..

Good to see approvals coming in...my update as at 10.40am..today still the same tune for HO..hasnt changed yet......Application in progress and still under consideration.... :? i just think thats the idea, not to feed you with enough info...thats my take anyway...i may be wrong...av given up calling for now and just hope the brown envelop will appear one day.....the wait and lack of visibilty is unbearable. its like sitting and never knowing when the bullet will hit...horr...

@fufuo. all they are trying to do depending on whom you speak with though, because from experience some of them would want to give you as little information as possible until the 6month timeline I would think. I have called them a total of three times since I submitted my application via a solicitor...

@tinuola..next time when you call selecet the >6months option and you will be given an update. mind you some of the applications takes longer than others because of some 3rd party checks. I believe those who have received approvals are the more straight forward cases...no past conviction or complex ...
