Delays in Payment Deduction

Hi All, Going by the timelines in the Tier1Extension Timelines thread, it seems, nobody who has sent their application in the last 2 weeks have had their payments deducted. Obviously that would lead to further delays in biometrics and eventual returning of documents. Though it is not a matter of pni...

Right - so I assumed, so if the fee increase goes ahead as proposed, no matter when you booked the appointment, any appointments after april 6th will incur a an extra £500 charge.. true? (and sad!)

Thanks Mohammed, very useful indeed.

Quick question - when you book in advance, ill the fee for PEO be £1300 or £1800? I think it would be £1800, but just confirming..

My visa expires on 3rd July. But.when I applied family visitor visa for my parents they got it till 15th Aug ( 6 months ). So to answer your question, they should get it for 6 months irrespective of when your visa expires. Bingo!!!!! That's exactly what i wanted to know!! Your reply has solved many...

My sincere apologies - I already asked the question earlier : http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?p=584114&highlight=#584114 I will try and call the HO to get more details. Also, I hope I have not posted it in a wrong section. Yet, if anyone has had any experience, that will be apprec...

Hello All, please can someone shed some light on my tricky situation? My initial Tier 1 visa expires on 9th June 2012. My parents wish to come visit me from 1st june till end of June. I will be renewing my visa before 9th June, but if they apply for a family visa now, will they be given a visa only ...

1. I would not worry about the accomodation.. one of my mate got the parents visa approval even if he was staiyng in studio appartment.. but that was 1 year ago. About the funds, i think VFS will be able to advice.. but are your parents presenting any property papers/pension/bonds.. etc...? I think...

Re: Two sided printout of Tier 1 application form

Hi, I would like to take a printout of Tier1 application form. Since it is big (70 pages) I would like to take a two sided printout. As per Page 8 of application form "If you are producing a double-sided copy of this application form, please include this page and make sure it falls on the reve...

Could do, if you have printed the online version of statement. It's a supporting document for your maintenance amount. If your bank is ready to provide the letter, why the hell not include it? 'nyways addition documents won't make the application too heavy to be carried to Post office /PEO but I as...

from what i have seen, it appears if you go over 5-6 months you get stamped from date of application, less than 5 months it appears you will get from date of expiry of visa. The 3-5 month area is somewhat grey and I suppose at the caseworkers discretion. I have been scouring the following thread fo...

Yes, of course, taking the risk is the call and I have thought exactly on the same lines as you. That in the years to come if I have to extend my visa, I will be paying another £2k most probably! But the damn PEO appointments arent available either :( I have been checking every day.. but none have b...

Wow. Thanks for the detailed reply. Regarding the Schengen visa issue, I am not sure about business visa, as their requirements might vary. What I hold is a circulation visa, which is a year on year visa and is valid for a year. As mentioned above, if I do apply for the Circular visa, I am most like...

Thanks, that is what I was exactly after.. a bit of view from both sides. I do have a feeling that including the reasons for early extension might be good. but I am not sure, whether to explicitly ask for FLr to be given from the date of LTR. But I am still intrigued by your comment regarding the 3 ...

If you apply early then the CW can discreetly grant FLR from the date of expiry of old LTR if the date of decision & start of new leave (expiry of old) date is less than 3 months. The point is, there is no standard procedure. People have got FLR from the date of decision even though the gap bet...

There is no discretionary power in that decision. The visa is valid from the date of decision, the original expiry date doesn't matter. You'd get 3 yrs if you had an initial visa for 2 yrs and vice versa. What I meant is, in 90% cases or more the extension start dates are affected by the decision d...

Yes, do plan to skip the Visa fees as a reason. What I have seen is that people get the visa from the date of approval BUT the expiry is 2/3 years from the date of their original expiry.

Is this is a standard procedure or again, discretionary service? Any clues?
