The only option: Get your marriage date moved ahead by at least a month. You never know how much time it would take to complete the process. I would suggest keeping a margin of at least 6 weeks or more is always beneficial. In case you do decide to go back to India, you would have to request UKBA t...

Why would you switch from Tier 1 to Tier 2. When your company asked you for Visa processing, you could have informed them that you already have a Tier - 1 visa. As far as I know, there is no option to use the Tier -1 visa now. Unless UKBA tells you otherwise. It might be worth a shot checking with U...

In case you are not travelling with your daughter outside UK before Sep 2012, you can always apply for her Visa when you apply for your own visa extension. This would ensure that you don't have to pay twice for your daughter's visa. In case you can afford the extra £550 apply for her visa before you...

Well this option doesn't have much significance just because you don't have a BRP with you. You just need to provide the details when and where you provided the Biometrics. Maybe there would be some sort of cross referencing but am not sure about it. In case you made an application in India through ...

You don't need to but you can choose to include the tax returns as supporting evidence. I would say last yr's tax return should be good enough.

PEO Appointment: It is always better to go for a PEO option. If everything is straight forward, you might get the decision on the same day. This is logical and I don't think there are any issues with this. I have personally seen people going for a PEO appointment just 1 day before Visa expiry date....

The total period that you could be away from UK in the 5 yr period is 180 days and you cannot be outside UK for a continuous period of 3 months or 90 days whichever is shorter. In case you've come late to UK, you would have to extend your visa 2-3 times till you complete the 5 yr continuous period i...

You can do it online on the following link: https://apply.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/iapply.portal. You would have to register and then make the appointment. I believe you can cancel the appointment but you have to provide a good reason for that, failing which your application may get rejected. Phone Nu...

Please check the expiry dates. I believe your current leave expires in 2013. Beyond which you can get an extension for 2 yrs. As you've not been in UK for nearly 1.5 yrs of your Visa period, you might have to convince the immigration officers that you are committed to live and work in UK. As they ca...

Postal Orders can have a maximum value of £250.

Each postal order of £250 costs £12.50.

To pay £1000 you'd have to get 4 postal orders of value £250.

Rest you can calculate ..applying simple maths :x

Re: Can I apply and get Tier 1 Extension?

You are actually coming to UK at the time when your visa is expiring. My friend this is indeed a big risk, please read the following thread http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=93611 Hello, My tier 1 expires in May 2012. I have not been in UK yet. I am planning to be in UK starting April...

I just wanted to check if this is true.....

This is only possible if your college is not recognised by UKBA anymore. You can still claim points for the relevant degree. You can claim the points and provide a cover letter stating that you received 30 points the last time. Typically the points shouldn't change much the second time as the rules ...

I faced similar issues and then decided to post the application. I posted my application on 11th and the money has already been debited from my account. If your case is straight forward why don't you post the application?

doconner, Don't bother about the three questions B11, B12 and B14. There shouldn't be any issues while applying for a Tier 1 extension and leaving these 3 blank. I did the same :D Claim points as shown on PBS calculator. You can't decide the points 30 or 35 , it's the Home Office that decides the po...

Well I think I don't understand. How can you claim an income of 2500 when you are only showing an earning of 2400 and 400 expenses. The figures have to be consistent. I guess you are earning a higher salary and showing lesser as you are using an umbrella solution which would in turn be transferring ...
