Hi Vinny What is '' granted it under 285. Therefore, they should consider her SET(M) under 288 '' ? I was told by someone that she cannot apply using SET (M) form because she came to the country as Tier 1 Dependant person and got Further Leave to remain using FLR M form. I know what that person is s...

Re: Fund Requirement for Wife Settlement application

Thanks Vinny, So does that mean we don't need to have savings of 18,600 in our Bank account ? And for calculation purposes, do we need to provide proof of our monthly rent & council tax bills. Do they only deduct rent & council tax from the weekly earnings. I also have a two year old baby bu...

CHANGING VISA APPLICATION FROM FLR(M) TO ILR APPLICATION ?

Thanks sushdmehta, Does that mean I need to wait for her FLR (M) visa application outcome and then only apply for ILR at PEO ? Alternatively, do you think she can withdraw her FLR(M) application and file a new application for ILR at PEO ? I understand this way we will lose the FLR(M) application fee...

Hi all, My girlfriend and I have been following this forum for a while. She is Australian and was in the UK on a youth mobility visa (expiring in July 2012). She submitted the spousal visa application in May and we were slightly worried about getting the documents back, as we planned to go travelli...

Re: waiting and waiting and waiting!

I am thinking to ask for return of my wife's passport , without withdrawing my wife's application. Will they allow me to do that ? Atleast by doing this, she could atleast register with employment agencies ? Do you have any idea about this ? Yes this is possible, we did it, although the UKBA do not...

Re: passport

Hi Kshah, Just to let you know, my passport turned up today therefore yours should turn up shortly. The letter just states that a copy has been retained with the application and I won't need to return it unless a caseworker requires it. Congratulation nholler, I hope I'll also get my passport soon.

Re: waiting and waiting and waiting!

Hi kshah, Do you know anything about it or have you ever given this a thought ? Re: waiting and waiting and waiting!

One of the things I often wonder is if the UKBA scrutinise certain applications more closely than others, based solely on the applicant's nationality. It might explain why some applications are processed in just a couple of months, while others are dragged out for six or more. Hi Ken2mj, I've often...

Re: waiting

It's a terrible situation, denying people the right to integrate into UK society. You wouldn't think we were in the year 2012 the way we are being treated by the UKBA. I called them this morning to request my passport back as I'm the sponsor and I don't agree that they should hold onto my ID for ov...
