Are you serious? Which part of 'issued' is ambiguous?

The next step is when the passport arrives, check the spelling, type of visa, start/expiry dates, blah blah blah.

Another drafting error, this one is even *worse*. It is in E-LTRP 1.11 which purports to specify the circumstances under which a fiance can regularise and join the 5 year route. Except that it leaves no lawful route to regularise. A paradox results. They are not going to correct this on the grounds ...

So what are the rules then transpondia? They changed them, and I am collating the stuff from the Annex and the Appendix into an article; please give me a few days. But for starters, same address for 2 years and shared remittances for the same period. I can't think of any UP who can qualify under th...

That is more or less our intention (and it's my girlfriend haha.) but I'm concerned that it would look like a sham marriage because she would not be taking my surname and we probably wouldn't tell many people (if anyone at all). One bright spot from this thread has emerged: your pointing out the mi...

Thanks. Taking a look at it now! Take careful note! Under the current framework, the Singh route *may* close forever on 16 Oct 2012. *FOREVER*. Unless something is done to legislate it back or to secure it vis-a-vis derivative rights and related judgements from the ECJ/ECHR between now and then. Th...

Since the wife came on a dependent VISA in the UK and already lived over 2 years. Once given on FLR, she automatically meets the minimum 2 years criteria. If the two years criteria is not met she also meets the NEW 5 years criteria. Thanks, I understood the wife can settle under Paragraph 319E, but...

- You apply for your ILR and at the same time get an FLR for your wife
- Once your wife got an FLR you can apply for her ILR straight away subject to the English language criteria
Question. On which basis would the wife qualify for ILR straight-away?

I was more than aware that the 2 year requirement still existed in the 'immigration rules' section but is neglected to be mentioned on the 'can you apply' partners page so I was bringing ...

FM Guidance E-ECP 2.1 Drafting Error

The section listed as E-ECP 2.1 in Appendix FM of the 'guidance' contains a drafting error which has been acknowledged as incorrect. The applicant's partner can also be accompanying rather than solely settled. This has been omitted and lots of applicants will relying upon this provision. There are n...

Based upon what you wrote, you strategy marginally improves upon using the Singh loophole, so you might as well weigh up that alternative also. For example the chances of a successful application under Singh are near 100% plus the reduced fees and so on. Only you can decide if it's right, but minima...

In some disagreement with your attorney and at least partially in disagreement with 'Casa's' post above. The only apparent thing you could be missing is the fact that WorldBridge is a pathetic mockery of a help line service. Everybody knows it. I'm not really trying to imply anything, but rather stating it outright. It's been published and was debated in the Commons earlier this week. This is confirm...
