Marriage/relationship is valid until the completion of divorce process so dont confuse ECO by saying that your marriage lasted 7 weeks .[/quote]

Re: Pakistani Divorce valid or not?? very confuse

There is an additional issue that your solicitor doesn't appear to have mentioned. Unless we can establish that your divorce will be accepted under British law, your second marriage won't be recognised for immigration purposes. This would mean that as the marriage is considered to be legal in Pakis...

Thanks ILR1980. Do you think my divorce under the section you have mentioned is valid? We lived together for 7 weeks but I applied for divorce after 7 months quoting the reasons that she fell pregnant, aborted the child and claimed that it was miscarriage. Thanks to the nurse who performed the abor...

No It wasn't as bare talaq are only valid in Azad Kashmir. My marriage and Talaq both happened in Lahore. According to the points you have mentioned makes it valid though!

Re: Pakistani Divorce valid or not?? very confuse

But again 'c' applies to overseas divorces. Mine falls under 'Talaq' which sounds it is valid. Still very confused though because 'c' does makes my divorce invalid But underneath 2.6.4 'RECOGNITION OF TALAQ PERFORMED OVERSEAS' makes in valid as it was an Islamic divorce recognised in Pakistan, issue...

Visa fee and NHS charges .... UKVI system is over charging

Hi. I am not sure if someone else came across this issue. As far as I am aware the spouse visa application fee is £1195 and NHS fee is £600. However yesterday I applied for my Mrs application online and the system was charging in PKR which wasn't reflecting with current exchange so I end up paying £...

It should not be an issues as you will submit the marriage certificate which will show her maiden name. You can also provide a brief explanation in the 'additional information' section of the application form. Many thanks for the assistance means we can safely change her name on both NIC and passpo...

Re: Name changed after IELTS test

It should be fine. My wife did the IELTS Academic in March 2015 (before the rules changed in April 2015) thinking that she would like to study in the UK. We got married in August 2015 and I used that same IELTS for her application in October 2015, even though she had changed her NIC and Passport na...

English requirement for Pakistani citizens

Hi,

Can someone advise me about spouse visa if someone is applying from Pakistan? They have introduced a new IELTS Life skill category. Does anyone know what band required for spouse visa applications and also if it should be A1, B1 or C1?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards

Re: I want to apply spouse visa for my wife

Thank you for the advise but I have discussed on several forums and I am getting mix opinions. Most are saying that for her to leave the country would cause an issue and she may not be able to get a visa from Pakistan as she is already in breach of her visa conditions e.g. overstaying etc.

Re: Section 8 Details of Grand Parents

I would appreciate if you can PM me or let me know the outcomes of your interview on 19th if they raise an issue or ask you about your grand parents? The interview is not a test you need to pass. It's an identity check to make sure you are the person who the application is for. If you don't provide...

You don't need to fill in those details if you are received your BC through naturalisation. If you use Post Office C&S, they might insist on filling it in. Just add another piece of paper. If you don't know the details, just write unknown. If you do write dates, make a copy of them as you might...
