Waiting for invitation letter 2+ months

My sister's application was approved mid September. She still has not received an invitation letter. On a number of occasions she called the council but they had not received her certificate, she also sent a few emails to UKBA but they responded only once saying she should receive it within 2 weeks,...

All that matters is, the name shown on a document must match the name used for booking. Yes, I am well aware of that. For that some reason I entered my full name as on the ID card but as I in my original post recently the centre was instructed to reject Eastern European applicants if they had enter...

Well it seems that they are now concerned because that is the reason I was turned away. The format of my name on my ID card is: First name Father's name Surname Format on my passport is: Names (lists First & Father's name) Surname. It simply was as to how it is labelled on my ID card and it woul...

Refused LIUK test because of EEA card

Today I was refused to sit the LIUK test at the Iranian Association (Hammersmith, London). I am an A2 national and it came down to how my names are labelled on my ID card. I have 3 names - a first name, surname and what is labelled on my ID card as father's name. When I booked the test I entered all...

Phone number for the UKBA

My sister received her approval letter more than 2 weeks ago but has not received an invitation letter. She emailed the UKBA but they have not replied so far. I was wondering if anyone knows of a phone number to get in touch with the UKBA? The Local Authority (apparently) cannot check if they have r...

EEA national allowed absence

My friend recently applied for naturalisation and is now a bit worried. I was wondering if anyone here might be able to help. She is an EEA national and applied for naturalisation one year after obtaining PR card. Enclosed with the application were the PR card, 12 pay slips for the year covering PR ...

BC on PR basis for EEA student

I was wondering if anyone here may be able to help me. I am an A2 national, holding PR since 2012. I've been in education since I came to the UK. When I applied for PR I applied together with my parents as they are supporting me financially. We are planning on applying for BC soon but I am a bit unc...

I just received mine, application was sent on the 18 June.
Each application is different so it all depends on how long it will take, also it takes them about a week to send it to you.

Ask them to send it in writing so you even if later they say you are not entitled to it you will have it in black and white. I think generally unis offer financial support for students. I think there is hardship grants or bursaries, speak to your uni as well you may be able to get something from the...

Re: here illegally

they did NOT provide me with a fair option to legalise myself during the first 3 years after my daughter was born. it is too much to ask the father of a newborn baby to leave his wife a child and fly halfway around the world So did you actually have an option or not?! I do not see the point in wast...

Re: here illegally

i don't think that i was here illegally because they did NOT provide me with a fair option to legalise myself during the first 3 years after my daughter was born. but that is besides the point though, because they do allow people people to apply under durable relationship unmarried relationship now...

I do not see how you can claim that the UKBA wrongly rejected your application for permanent residency or your durable relationship when you were illegally in the UK. Of course they would not count this period as durable relationship.

I know someone who has been waiting for 4 months. So I think it really depends on your case and how the caseworker deals with their load. Did they complain or just accept that their case was not being dealt with as soon as possible? She has not complained as this seems to be the norm these days. I ...

So yes - you can retain residence rights either if divorced and meeting the requirements or based on the child rights. See more Regulation 10 - in particular - 10 (3)(b), 10 (4) and 10 (5). can we get divorced in England even if the marriage is registered in Estonia? Yes, you can divorce in the UK ...

The EU will soon take the UK to court, because the EU feels that if you are entitled to the NHS as everybody that lives here after a year, there is no need for CSI. So they gave the UK two months, the UK might fight or not fight. I doubt that. The requirement for CSI is not a domestic requirement u...

I would suggest she re-apply using the EEA 4 app form. Send it off and let them deal with it. I would suggest EEA4 is inappropriate as she is an EU citizen. I agree but would it not be a problem to prove exercising treaty rights? The OP stated that his wife does not work and is dependent on him whi...

Yes, it does. Thank you.
I thought that even if family members are applying under one application each has to provide evidence of exercising treaty rights except minor children.
