One would expect such a minor infraction to be laughable. However, UKBA is somehow capable of digging these things up: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=67385 I was a kid too ( not really that long ago - maybe thirty years or so ). There are certain times when potential trouble with p...

Dual citizenship doesn't make a difference. You will have all the benefits and facilities available to EU citizens on the basis of your German passport. the reason for living in the uk is: the country is "way more" better than germany. I have been there many times and evereything- the peo...

Re: Clarification on list of absences spreadsheet

I wouldn't rely on a formula that inludes your departure date. UKBA can only see when you arrive at your destination - they rely 100% on your passport for departure dates. Your time away is the FULL days you are out of the country, so don't count your destination stamp nor arrival back to the UK -on...

I wouldn't worry too much about 188 days. The same caseworker's guidance that originally mentioned business days discretion also mentioned discretion on 190 / 200 personal days with authorization 1 / 2 levels up from the caseworker. At least you got in early with this new policy. One can only imagin...

If I hear enough refusal stories based on arbitrary interpretation of time spent outside of the UK, I will not enrich UKBA/immigration lawyers with my money any further. I just wish they were more straightforward about their plans, so that I do not waste my time and money in this country any longer...

I think you are unneccesarily panicking just a little. On one hand, the policy was always there - though not always adhered to as a great many people ( just read this board ) have obtained ILR while waiting in the office - the "change" in policy is to stick with the policy. This seems to b...
