I am in the same situation. Just checked the UKBA web page that says 'Apply online' service in the UK is currently unavailable as they carry out maintenance. I have learnt the following from the Biometry invitaton letter sent to us: (i) Children will be able to enrol at Post Office from 1 March 2012...

Very sorry if any of my post confused you.

I think it is better if you wait for experts comment or ask your employer to call UKBA and get their advise. They can easily talk with UKBA!

My situation is slightly different as my current job ends on 6 April 2012! My employer ammended my contract just after joining with them!! (i) You could ask your employer to extend your current contract up to 13 April 2012 and get a CoS from 14 April 2012. (ii) If you will not be short of 5 years st...

Tier-2 Extension - Start date on CoS

My employer mentioned mentioned 2 March 2012 as the start date in the CoS is to maintain the contunity with my earlier CoS! I found that this is opposed to UKBA recommendation that...

Tier-2 extension - Maintenance under General ground

Many thanks for your reply. I agree that I am confused. The only maintenance requirement that I can see in the policy document is that £800 for main applicant £533 for each dependents. My understanding is that these amounts are set out as the applicants need money to settle in the UK and to maintain...

Many thanks for your reply. I do not claim that I have a full understanding of the policy guidance, but the para 7 (page 2) of the document says: Even if you score the required 70 points your application will still be considered under the General Grounds criteria and may lead to your application bei...

Tier- 2 extension + previous Immigration history

Many many thanks for your replies. When I made my application in February 2009 I was totally unaware of the immigration rules but I admitted that I breached the conditions attached to my visa and explained the reasons. I will do the same with our extension application forms. There are few questions ...

Tier- 2 extension + previous Immigration history

I am a Tier-2 migrant (March 2009- March 2012) and am in the process of extending our tier -2 visas. I would be grateful if you could clarify whether my previous immigration history detailed below (in the period from Oct 1996 to Sept. 2000) will affect our extension of leave to remain. I was on stud...
