I was in the same situation.
Showed my employee salary to get the points, didn't include earnings from self-employment at all to get a higher score.
Also showed my self-employment just to prove "economically active". Wasn't a problem at all.

11L has no relation to you whatsoever - as you'll be applying as Tier 2.
In addition to documents required of Tier 2 you'll need to show that you were economically active while on Tier 1, i.e. provide any two of P60 / payslips/ bank statements.

It's not a grey area at all, just saves us and UKBA from the flood of FLR applications needed to extend by a few months before applying for ILR.

1. Use Tier 1 (as it is your current status)
2. It is a correct way, and as you're within 180 days limit, the employer's letter is not required.
3. This one a bit strange - I suggest you use your P60s backed up by your bank statements to prove earnings.

Agreed, you don't - any number of months within last 15 months period sufficient to qualify. Just to reassure - I claimed earnings for 7 months only, wasn't a problem.

Hi,
the appointments come online during the day, just keep refreshing once in a while and you'll find it. I was able to book and rebook several times - just be patient and keep trying. oh, and :-) keep away from Croydon if you have a straightforward case.

Hi again sameergk, Yes. I had a very efficient caseworker, who asked for all the standard things. P60s are needed to establish that you've complied with the terms of your previous leave, i.e. that you were economically active and paid your taxes, I don't think anyone cares much about the level of yo...

Hi sameergk!
My experience is that UKBA helpline is a total rubbish. You'll be fine, hope your appointment is early. I was not lucky with biometrics so my passport is held hostage now :-)
On the plus side, the staff in Croydon office are very pleasant to deal with. Good Luck!

Just an update - went to Croydon PEO yesterday, my application was accepted, I was told everything is fine, but of course, biometrics were down, so now i am eagerly awaiting call in the (hopefully) near future.

Strange issue with your Feb 11 slip - the guidance states they count calendar months (i.e. 14 Jan - 13 Feb), so unless you're paid in the beginning of the month, February pay slip should've been okay (it still falls into 15 months immediately prior to application)?

:-) This is a wonderfully vague piece of advice from the Home Office. It doesn't clarify anything, what it says is "we may or may not accept your application at PEO" if you entered late. Logically, the SET(O) guidance states that you can apply 28 days before the end of your qualifying peri...
