Question is what to do now- take the passport and get the OCI sticker in it . Fly back to India and register at frro. The option seems suitable and legally - the baby was in UK at the time of application.

Hello friends. We applied for OCI in UK and this was granted was recently dispatched to Birmingham, UK. Meanwhile we decided to go back to India for good. OCI new rules

Hello people , just to let everyone know
They recently introduced a new rule re OCI that it has to be renewed untill age 20, every time when passport is renewed and also once above 50 age

Birmingham oci timeline

Hi finally granted my OCI at Delhi

Applied end of feb by post at Birmingham
Acknowledged 9th march
OCI granted and printed on 3 June
Dispatch from Delhi awaited


Any ideas how long to get it in Birmingham?
I've got a flight booked for 28june, hopefully I don't need to apply for visa!

OCI Birmingham

Registration - under process

This process is painfully slow. My photo was scanned on 29 April, still no news after that. Anyone from Birmingham consulate with similar time scales?
