My Passport is Expiring Soon Can I apply for SETM?

My passport is expiring 2 months after the day I am planning to apply for SETM on premium service.

Since I will be able to apply for Naturalization(Get British Passport) immediately after getting SETM I am thinking should I really care to renew my original passport?? Or will that be a risk???

FLRM PROCESSING TIMES

Here are my details. I think because of Christmas and New Year thingy the applications over this period might take comparatively longer due to less number of working days. But still fingers crossed.
