I don’t think so it’s available for the SET (O) applications. It’s only for the SET(M) applications at the moment.

It’s only for the people who got visa on or after 31-04-2009. If you got 30 points for Bachelor degree in your first grant, you will still get 30 points at the time of your extension and ILR.

Guys, be careful as it varies in all parts of the country and especially in London NHS are really annoying sometimes. I came to UK in 2007 along with my wife who was 6 months permanent at that time. I initially stayed in East London (Ilford) and when tried to get some blood tests for her at the loca...

Sorry I was confusing it with ILR.

You are right, you can apply even more than a month before your current leave expires, as long as you make sure you will compete 5 years by the end of your new extension.

I don’t think so you can pay by a normal personal cheque. It has to be a banker’s draft.

You can also pay by debit or credit card, but you need to inform your bank a night before (and also on the morning of appointment to be on the safe side) that you are going to make a large transaction.

You don’t need to provide any document which you have already provided at the time of initial grant of your Tier-1 or HSMP. I got HSMP in 2007 and got Tier-1 extension in 2009 and didn’t provide my degree, evidence of age or marriage certificate as I had already provided these things at the time of ...

The pay slip generally shows both gross and net (take home) salaries. The bank statement should match with the net payment.

But in your case, one slight mismatch of pew pennies wont cause any issue.

If I remember correctly (as its been few years I came to UK), the validity of TB Test is 6 months, so I am guessing she will have to get a fresh test.

The certificate also say about the issue date.

I think it’s only for the people who are currently working. As you are currently not working, you can say no to this question. UKBA asks for dependant’s NI Number (if any) any way, so when you give your NI to them, they will be able to see your contract job if they wish. But I think they won’t bothe...

I know few people who are in a similar situation. I think because UKBA was closing Tier-1 General on 6th of April 2011, too many people applied for it (as it was already suspended for overseas applicants in Nov 2010). But the delay doesn’t mean there is an issue with your applications, it’s only the...

They should fall under the same rules as when they got the first leave. In the Tier-1 extension form, it asks you when was your first leave granted. So there is a table depending on when your first leave was granted.

For your 1st question: People have returned benefits in past and I am sure if you speak to HMRC again, they would definitely find some way for it. If this doesn’t work in worst case, then keep all the correspondence with you which you can show to UKBA to prove that you did your best to return the be...
