My citizenship was approved In March 2016 (applied in Dec 2015). I have provided the IELTS certificate which I did in 2007. I have used the same IELTS certificate for my initial Tier 1 application, then ILR and now citizenship.

From my experience it will work. See FAQ's on this forum
