Re: Tier 1 (General ILR) -- request your feeback

Hi CR001,
Sorry, I did not want to cause confusion but I am not getting any responses. How else may I proceed to get better responses.
To some, they may be minor questions. To me, they are getting more urgent and critical as my deadline is coming up soon.

SET(O) ILR Form Question 6.1

I tried a longer post. However, on recommendation of CR001, I am trying again with shorter posts on specific questions. Question 6.1: When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this app...

Re: Tier 1 (General ILR) -- request your feeback

Hi CR001, I totally understand it is a very long post -- I wanted to post one post, instead of multiple posts and tried to combine it all into one. I have gone through the guidance notes (both here on the forum and the official notes) and still have these questions / confusions. Is it possible to ge...

Tier 1 (General ILR) -- request your feeback

Hi all experts, I am planning to apply for ILR as a Tier 1 General holder in June and am preparing for the same. I had a few questions on how to fill the form properly (Sorry for the long post. Hope people can understand my nervousness in this important step): 1) Section 6: Immigration History: Ques...

Re: Continuous lawful residence/invalid application

Hi All, Quick question -- how do I get such information from SAR (i.e. my case history and any absences in Home Office systems)? While I have a list of my absences, I travel a lot and just want to make sure that I have not missed out on listing anything. I submitted a detailed SAR request. However, ...

Re: Dependet ILR

Hi CR001, Thanks a lot. This is very insightful. So, in SET(O) form, the list of absences etc. (and related documentation) are only applicable for the main applicant (i.e. me)? I am always confused how will SET (O) be filled if Dependent plus kids apply for ILR later separately (without the main app...

Re: Tier 1 (General ILR) -- request your feeback

Thanks tier1extend. I hope that it goes smoothly, as so much depends on it. I too am planning to attend at Sheffield or Croydon. I just wanted to make sure that: a) overseas / European employment is OK while living here and b) for some of the absences during older employments, I will not have employ...

I am confused. So, how much time do dependents need to spend in UK or do they just go by 5 years of dependent visa?

Dependet ILR

Hi All, I have read a few responses where people mention that limit of 180 days of absence is not applicable for dependents continuous period calculation. However, I have not been able to see this in any official documents or form. If anyone else is aware of this, can you please point me to the righ...

Re: Tier-1 dependent extension by post-document checklist q

Hi, All I needed to send was their Passports and bank statements showing proof of maintenance funds. I did it right before there was healthcare surcharge. Also, we didn't have the biometric cards as their original was done outside UK and it was a sticker on passports. It was one of the simplest and ...

Re: UK Tier 1 (General) extension period more than 3 years

While they have the language in the policy guide, I don't know if anyone got more than 3 years extension. Before this language was added, there were many cases where people got 2 years (instead of expected 3) because of the confusion case workers had.

Re: Dependents applying for ILR separately

Thank you so much. So, does that mean I can show two bank statements, two council bills and two electricity or gas bills in joint names and that should cover it? As an additional query, we still have a lot of joint correspondence to our permanent addresses in USA. Can those be provided as well? It d...

Re: Dependents applying for ILR separately

Hi santhoap, Can you please let me know where I can find some official document that talks about what kind of documents will be needed to prove cohabitation? My partner will be eligible in 2.5 years. Questions about ILR Taxes

Hi All, I am expecting to apply for ILR next year in July. I have never claimed points for self-employment. However, during the first couple years, I could not find a job in UK and claimed points for my earnings overseas (i.e. no income or taxes in the UK. I didn't even get my national insurance num...

Re: Tier 1 General Dependent Visa documents

When we applied for extension in March 2015 (before the HC surcharge), it was just copies of passports and bank statements to show maintenance funds. The only additional things should / could be biometric cards and healthcare surcharge related stuff. The 2 year cohabitation is only needed for ILR, n...
