tier 2 rejected - will the fees be refunded

hi..

i have reapplied for my visa refusal in January and have made a second payment of 550 pounds and have my visa approved.. however, i am wondering if my first payment would be refunded as it was rejected? or did anyone try to ask for a refund from UKBA?

many thanks for your advice in advance..
