Re: Director of a limited company - financial proof

thanks llcoolj-786 for your reply.

No dividends claimed. Have been purely working without taking any funds from the business. Any money it was making was reinvested back into the business. It has only been the last seven months in which i have been paying myself a wage.

Re: Spouse Visa Financial Requirement

You need 6 months of evidence to show that you meet £18,600pa or £9,300 for the six months. There is no discretion with this. If you do not meet the requirement and submit the evidence of the income, the visa will be refused. Thanks for your feedback. So for the last six months will i need to show ...

Re: Spouse Visa Financial Requirement

The point i am trying to get across is that i can show my income in the last 6 months but it wont be enough to meet the £18,600 but from now (today) it will show this as i will be taking a wage from the business.

Re: Spouse Visa Financial Requirement

Not going to work. You need to show the bank statements showing your income credit for 6 months. Consider a scenario in which someone just got a new job with a salary exceeding the threshold but the previous six months they were unemployed. Will that mean that this person will have to wait at least...

I would advise her to give her tax reference. Even though she hasn't had any income from her self-employment, has she submitted a self-assessment tax return showing nil earnings? She has never submitted a self-assessment tax return and I have been in touch with HMRC, explained the situation to them...

Thanks solospy, but doesn't the HO know/investigate if she has registered as self employed?

Don't want to risk anything or withhold any information...came so far and don't want to fall at last hurdle.
