I believe that your application is not normal application , I have never heard in any immigration board that the UKBA delayed FLR M application when the applicant has a student visa by one year , must be something wrong in your application ,other ways how come you are passion for one year !!!!

it is far far to early for your application to be decided yet , i have applied back in april and my wife is British and my daughter is British and I'm still waiting man !!!
