Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(O)

Have they deducted the fee? If yes then they have it and there is no need panic. If it hasn't been deducted call them. I didn't receive anything from the home office until a month had passed. After a month you should have a biometric letter, within 6 months from submitting your application should re...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

This Friday it will be 5 weeks since my wife posted the SET (M) application. No acknowledgement - nothing. This is alarming! It's been 20 days for me. Not even a text message. Hell Hi I spoke with the Home office and they said you should get your biometric letter within 28 days. If you don't get it...

Urgent BRP replacement required!

Hi I have lost my passport and visa and now urgently require a replacement BRP visa to return to the UK. Does anyone know how long it takes? Do I need a replacement visa or can I get something from the consulate which allows me to enter once. Note my visa and passport are not connected, I have one o...

UKBA Confirmation of receipt?

Hi I sent my application off via registered mail on Monday, so it should have arrived at the UKBA on Tuesday (yesterday). The tracking details confirm this. I recall reading somewhere that one can call the UKBA to confirm they have received it. Is this correct, and if so what is the number? Thanks! ...

Renewal query

Hi My visa expires on 1.10.2012. I may need to travel for work around this time so I am considering applying early. My questions are as follows: 1. If I renew early do they grant the date from the date they give the visa, i.e. earlier than 1.10.12? 2. If so, how does that affect my subsequent applic...

thanks for this.

I loved the 2 week rule. The Spanish are struggling for 3 1/2 weeks. Will try call the embassy tomorrow and point out that they should be offering them in two weeks. Given its outsourced they will probably just blame each other, but its worth a try.

Schengen visa - do you need to have booked your travel?

Hi

I want to apply for a french schengen visa in London. Do you know if it is necessary to have actually booked and paid for your travel in advance. I do not really want to book a non-refundable trip and then not be able to get the visa in time.

thanks,
Nic

Do you think I can apply with the French? I have had another company say that they can do this for me but I thought I had to apply with the country I am going to first - I plan to go to france in a few months anyways so perhaps if I plead my case they will be kind? That seams to be a bit of an unfai...

Hi I have booked a trip to spain for a months time knowing I need all of this to be booked before I can apply for the schengen visa. Tier 1 Dependant

My partner and I are living on the UK both under the tier 1 visa. We need to renew this year and it appears that one of us is short of the requisite earnings to score sufficient points to get the visa renewed. My questions, would converting one visa to a dependant visa in any way affect the eventual...
