Why not apply for naturalisation AFTER you have completed your affairs abroad and then return to UK? That way you will avoid the stress and hassle, and potential cost of meeting the process requirements. Is this option not available to you?
Sounds like you need to fill in the AN form, check your personal circumstances against the criteria in the AN guide and see what documents apply to you. Less onerous than ILR requirements.
