Re: Start Own (small) Business while on Tier-2

I read it on the back back of a matchbox. I think it was little harsh from Wanderer. Hi Khan, if you go through policy guidance and see point 214 on page 55, it will clear everything. It says: You cannot take employment, except:  working for the sponsor in the job recorded on your Certificate of S...

Hi Forum, I am currently on employer sponsored Tier-2 General, recently extended for 3 years (ILR eligible in 2 years) working for an A list employer. My question is whether I am able to start my own small business to generate an alternative income stream on my current leave? I know there are restri...

Re: Can I extend my Tier-2 General for another 3 years?

Hi Kinn, See my response to your question below: 1. When I apply for an extension, will I be getting an extension for 2 years or 3 years ? What decides the period of extension ? The period of extension will be determined by the employment period mentioned on your certificate of sponsorship or the le...

Can I extend my Tier-2 General for another 3 years?

Hi Forum, I am slightly confused about how long I can extend my tier-2 general for ? I am under the impression that after the first in country application is allowed (3 years) you can only extend it for another 2 years. However a friend pointed me to a section on the UKBA website which says the I ca...

Hi,

Congratulations for the appeal being accepted. I appealed for exactly the same case but my appeal was refused. Is it possible to get hold of your case reference number so I can use it as a reference if needed for my extensions and other applications in future?

Best Regards,

Hi, I had exactly the same case as yours. Applied with an SOC code where my salary didn't match up. Application was rejected and my PSW had expired then. I appealed and after my hearing where I explained the case fully the judge refused the appeal. I then applied for the permission to appeal althoug...

New Passport - Inform UKBA for a new BRP ?

Hi, I have run out of blank pages on my current passport and will need to apply for a fresh booklet. This means that my passport number will change. Do I need to inform UKBA and apply for a new BRP or as long as I carry both old and new passports while travelling it's not needed? I will appreciate y...

Hi,

Appeal won't help. There's no way it will be accepted!
Make a fresh application with a fresh CoS with the right salary.

hope that helps..

I read a post here sometime back from a member who had undergone a similar visit. He had submitted an account of question they had asked and checks they made. I can't seem to find the post. If anyone has the link to it please post.

Their are no strict timeline for this. However if the migrant's leave is due to expire in 4 weeks time and the COS has not been allocated yet the employer can make a request for treating the case as urgent. In this case UKBA will ask for a copy of your passport and current leave to remain as proof o...
