Hi All, I am on a permanent employment inUK and i am due for extension by july15th(my visa expiry date is august 16th2012). Unfortunately my company is getting acquired in a week and i might lose my job due to handover.I might get max june salary and i will be out of job during july/august searching...

I dint get your point
"on the side notes, this is one of the stupid rules where tier-1 holder spouse cannot become dependent of his/her tier-1 holder spouse. don't see any reason behind it."

Hi Harsh,
Thanks for that quick reply.So its confirmed that i cant do sitting in UK:-).

When i apply for my wife to convert from tier-1 to tier-1 dependant in home country wont they question why do u want to switch?.

Will they cancel tier-1 and give tier-1 general dependant?.
